And to begin with, we will get acquainted with the manufacturer, after which we will present information about the new product.

A fairly hyped Chinese brand, which, in turn, is part of another large company - BBK Electronics. The main mission of the leadership was determined by the production and distribution of smartphones not only in China, but also far beyond its borders.

The company was founded 7 years ago and, accordingly, has worked and continues to work in the electronics industry.

Some historical facts. OnePlus launched its first model in April 2014 i.e. less than half a year from the date of foundation. Today, despite the difficult epidemiological situation not only in our country, but in the world as a whole, the company announced in April this year a new model, OnePlus 8, which we will now review.

It all starts with the box. It is made in the corporate style of a bright orange color, with a black number 8 engraved on it. Let's look inside and see the contents. Inside contains a greeting from OnePlus, the device itself, a charger, or rather Usb - a cable and a separate charging unit.

The color of the case is striking in its manner of execution, special attention is drawn to the mirror coating, due to which the color changes depending on the angle at which you look at it. This device received a display with a diagonal of 6.55 inches, a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and a 90 Hz scan. The aspect ratio is 20x9. The screen is now curved and framed by an additional strip of thin aluminum. Note that the connection between this strip and the body is barely noticeable. Instead of a drop-cut for the camera, a new cut-out in the upper left corner. This is not to say that this is good or bad, it all comes down to a matter of taste. Peak brightness of the model is 1100 Nits with HDR10 / 10 + support. Separately, we note the relatively large width of the phone in comparison with competitors. The thickness of the device is 8 mm, and the weight is 180 g. The phone fits comfortably in the hand and is easy to use with the thumb.

The latter looks impressive live, it is difficult to find analogues. But there are also some nuances. Due to the mirrored surface, the phone slides not only when in a pocket, but also on a fairly solid surface - a table. It also leaves fingerprints on its surface and, for sure, scratches will appear quickly enough.A protective case will save the situation, which, by the way, is not included in the kit. There is a triple toggle switch on the right side and a lock button below. The volume can be switched on the left side. At the bottom, there is a Usb port as standard. There is also a SIM card slot and a speaker. A fingerprint sensor is located under the glass on the front.

Camera

This parameter is one of the most important that consumers pay attention to. The camera block contains three modules, which are located on the lid in the form of a vertical strip, but unlike the 8 Pro version, these modules are not convex, but are in the same plane with the back cover of the case. Under these modules is a LED flash. In our opinion, this solution looks more stylish. The main sensor is 48 megapixels with optical stabilization, the second is 16 megapixels - ultra-wide, and the third is a 2 megapixel sensor for macro photography. The device can write 4K. 16 megapixel front camera sensor with digital stabilization.

Speaking about the quality of photos, we can note the gradation of quality from medium to good. The main camera demonstrates high-quality images with clear focusing and good color reproduction. Pictures from the second, wide-angle module are also detailed, but there is a slight distortion. Note right away that the more you zoom in, the worse the pictures will be. As for the front camera, its quality is quite acceptable for the stated characteristics.

It is possible to shoot video in 4K, the frame rate is 60 frames.

Performance

Great news - this smartphone received the latest generation processor, its name is given in the table with characteristics. The amount of RAM is determined by the value of 8 or 12 GB. The size of the permanent memory is 128 or 256 GB. Support for a memory card is not provided, although, in principle, it is not needed here, tk. the available memory is sufficient. In terms of its performance, the phone is ahead of its famous analog smartphones.

And in this section, we will also find a parameter with a nice characteristic - the battery has become larger, 4300 mAh. There is support for fast charging percentage replenishment at 30 W. Still, the model does not have wireless charging and waterproofing. With moderate use, the smartphone lasts for a day and a half.
