Realme Q is one of the few smartphones that has not had time to acquire rumors and speculation. His presentation took place the day after rumor spread about him. The manufacturer did not consider it necessary to attract attention with advertising moves. It's simple: what is already good does not require additional coloring.

The new budget phone has many attractive features that have already made it popular. A durable bright case, a four-eyed main camera, a reliable processor, combined with an affordable price - the key to success in the market of inexpensive devices.

Appearance and parameters

Convenient dimensions (157 * 74.2 * 8.9 mm) and weight (184 g) will allow you to comfortably feel the smartphone in the palm of your hand, no matter what actions will be performed. The bright body, although made of plastic, is quite durable, faceted with a metal finish-protection. Coloring is a separate topic of conversation, because Realme managed to turn the usual light green (Light Green) and light blue (Light Blue) into a whole shimmering action. Even the plastic shone with tints and edges, like a precious crystal. For a budget line, the appearance is quite bright and noticeable.

The front panel is the display itself, framed by small frames, the top is a classic teardrop notch for the front camera. On the back on the left, the rear camera is located vertically, next to it is a white flash point. There is also a fast-responding fingerprint scanner in the center, which stands guard over the protection.

The right side edge has become the place of the lock button, on the left the volume control is conveniently located. This arrangement will seem unusual to many, but over time it will become clear that this is much better. The phone will no longer be locked by mistake when turning down the volume.

The top and bottom edges are traditional for the microphone, speaker and connectors.

It would seem that something special can be applied in the sense of the operating system in a budget smartphone. But it turned out that you can. The new device runs on the standard Android 9.0 (Pie), but along with it uses the ColorOS 6 firmware. What does this give the new Chinese smartphone?

The front camera has a standard 16MP, which is more than enough for its purpose. Selfies and videos in calls are of acceptable quality, which will suit not particularly demanding users. The mediocrity of this camera is compensated by the great capabilities of the main one.
